Many people voice PAs by playing CDs and fiddling with the graphics until it sounds good but theres a better way.
Set up your PA system and main vocal microphone then slowly raise the mic gain until the system starts to feed back. Push up each graphic fader individually until that feedback frequency increases (taking care to avoid
feedback blasts) then pull that fader down until the feedback vanishes. Raise the mic gain again to find the next problem frequency and repeat the process. This method can also be used for monitors to get the loudest
feedback-free vocal sound from your PA.
